PPSI offers three types of capping equipment namely: ROPP Capping Machine, Cap Tightening Machine and Cap Plugging Machine.
The ROPP Capping Machine is used for bottles with Roll On Pilfer-Proof (ROPP) caps. These caps are made of aluminum and are unthreaded. |
The Cap Tightening Machine is suitable for screwing pre-threaded caps. |
The Cap Plugging Machine is used to press down bottle caps or other accessories such as nozzles and anti-drip spouts onto the bottle. |
The ROPP cap is usually the closure of choice used in the pharmaceutical industry as it seals liquid products very well and provides tamper-evident security. The sealing process is performed by a rotating capping head that lowers down on the bottle mouth, pressing the threading and crimping discs on the side of the blank aluminum cap to conform to the existing thread of the bottle.
The fully automatic Cap Tightening Machine sets pre-threaded caps onto the bottle opening and then screws it to a pre-set level of torque. This is achieved with an adjustable torque tightening head. Accuracy on the level of torque applied is ensured through the use of Magnetic Clutch System.
The Cap Plugging Machine is used to press down or “plug” the bottle cap, or any other bottle accessory such as nozzles and anti-drip spouts onto the bottle opening. It is primarily composed of a pneumatic cylinder and plugging head which sequentially plugs the accessory onto the bottle.
